Human furniture. That's one way to think of Izanagi. He kind of serves as decoration. Kind of takes the strong and silent type concept too far. No one hears him talk. No one even knows which room he sleeps in (yes Momotani Manor is ridiculously massive, but still). It's rare to see him move from room to room let alone show emotion. You're bound to find Izanagi eating--cereal and cake are his favorite--but he doesn't seem to do much else. Okay, he shows emotion sometimes, but it might just come in the form of pausing a little longer before taking another bite of Rice Crispies. And sometimes something a little ominous emerges out of Izanagi’s placidity...like a strange glint in his eye when someone eats the last of the Cocoa Puffs? Or some sign that maybe there's an Izanagi the tenants don't know under the surface…?
