PAIGE
Story: untitled
Age: 24
Paige is an average citizen and the daughter of the pioneer of modern robotics technology. Even though her father’s intelligence bore him to the top level of society, she is of average sheeply intelligence herself. She is also a rare exception in the eyes of society in that because of her father’s connections, she is introduced to--and given a job in--a much higher level than she would ordinarily find herself in. Were she anyone else’s daughter, she would likely be answering phones or filing things. But she is instead a news reporter. This is the sort of wrench that could be thrown in that none of the sheeply thinkers would realize is even a problem. It is because of her job as a reporter that she is exposed to the anarchical lowest level, and because of that she is targeted by R.K and her group for being an outlet in the media, as well as the daughter of the inventor of the technology they’re trying to limit.
Anyway, Paige herself is not helped by being given a higher job than she would normally get. The way the system is set up, she would live a completely normal, and therefore happy and blissfully carefree life if she had been given a job tailored for her level. But instead she is placed in a job she could never be ready for. Thus, she has always had a vague recognition that she doesn’t quite belong, that her peers tend to look down on her, though she wouldn’t be able to tell you why. It’s a feeling that hangs over her hauntingly. She doesn’t understand much about other people. After falling in with R.K and her group, Paige is suddenly aware of things outside the sheltered world in which she lives, and everything she’s been taught starts to seem wrong to her. Understandably, this makes her rather paranoid. But she also starts to become slightly more independent, moralistic, and determined.
The only one she can fall back on is her PRA Jana, who has been something of a best friend for her throughout her life.
Personality wise, she is like most sheep: quiet, obedient, optimistic and calm, as well as easily broken.
