SOUL'S CIRCUS

Joshua was walking his little sister, Molly, home from school one day when he got impatient and walked out into the street before the crossing signal shone. He and his sister were struck by a bus, but he awakened mysteriously unhurt. That is when he is confronted by the enigmatic man Stefan, who tells him that he is not yet dead, but his sister is. He offers to return Molly's soul to her body in exchange for control over Joshua's. Joshua agrees, and is taken to the Soul's Circus, of which Stefan is the ringleader and big-boss type person.
The Soul's Circus is an afterlife where the souls are made to entertain demons' spirits forever. When someone is taken to the circus, they sign a contract for their eternal soul and are put to work. The souls quickly start to lose their memory of their previous life and become mindlessly devoted to their life in the Circus.
The entire world seems to be limited to the gigantic circus tent, surrounding buildings for lodging and various things, and the immediate area around it including a single dirt road and bridge. The tent appears to be placed on top of a mountain surrounded by a dark abyss.
The souls, when brought to the world, are forever tied down by their rigid perceptions of "reality" and physical things like "gravity" and "pain", and so they take on a corporeal form based on their own self-image. This means they can be injured, or even die (an event which causes the soul to believe it is dead/accept death, rendering the soul effectively so)

Wow, I'd so love to see this story written/drawn out! Definitely want to find out more about these guys.
